The final total raised at the recent Sarah Millican shows at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre was the magnificant sum of £3957.37 – This is fantastic news and it’s thanks to organiser Saras Hope Foundation director Dawn Edes, her family and everyone who gave up their time to collect.  Also a huge thanks to Sarah Millican’s management team and fabulous audiences for donating so generously. On Saturday 14th July Sainsbury’s in Whitley Bay have very kindly confirmed that Saras Hope Foundation can hold a bag pack in their store between 10.00am – 2.00pm, if you would like to volunteer to help please contact Carol on 0191 3001423, alternatively if you’re in the area do pop in and say hello. All monies raised will help us to support children living with cancer.

These beautiful paintings from artist Roger Coulson are on display @ Danny Richardson`s solicitor practice in Leeds – they are valued at over £2,000 each – but artist Roger is offering each painting @ £1,000 each £500 of which will be donated to our charity, truly generous gesture.

Ged and Julie wish to thank everyone in Crete for their warm friendship and fantastic support, they are overwhelmed by the kindness shown to them and to the families who visit Sara’s Retreat.

Cretan Corner Christmas Party - Owner Sue is a great supporter of Saras Hope Foundation offering families free Greek Nights at her restaurant. In September she organised an Art Exhibition/Auction raising the fantastic sum of 1,348 Euros. Sue recently purchased a sofa for Sara’s Retreat and would like the remainder of the funds to be used for flights for a family in 2012.

Big Ears Children’s Charity: Ged and Julie recently received 100 Euros from David Capon, founder of this charity.

A huge ‘thank you’ to all our supporters in Crete, you really are making a difference to the lives of children living with cancer.
